Russia’s manufacturing sector remained in contraction for the 6th straight month, but November showed a slight improvement as the PMI inched up to 48.3, the softest downturn since August.
🔍 Key Highlights
New sales declined again, but at the slowest pace in 6 months.
Foreign demand slipped back into contraction.
Output shrank at the fastest rate since April 2022, hit by weaker orders and supply delays.
Employment rose at the strongest pace since July 2024.
Supplier delivery times deteriorated, marking the worst performance since February.
Input cost inflation accelerated, with firms lifting output prices to an 11-month high to pass on costs.
📈 Outlook
Despite near-term pressure, business confidence improved on expectations of stronger demand and investment in new products and technology.
