📉 Hang Seng Under Pressure - Ends at 2-Week Low
The Hang Seng fell 462 pts (-1.7%) to 26,290, extending its fifth straight loss as tech stocks slid over 3% amid China’s tighter rare earth and chip export controls. Consumer shares also declined before next week’s key China data.
Major laggards: Zhaojin Mining (-7.4%), SMIC (-7.2%), Tencent (-3.6%).
Losses were partly offset by Fed rate-cut hopes and strong U.S. equities.
