从价格需求角度，在下跌过程中，价格在某个位置不再下跌的原因有以下2种。第一、推动价格下跌的需求不足，即做空力量的衰退，甚至是消失，此时就算没有支撑做多的力量，价格也会在这个位置出现相对静止的状态。从成交量观察，只会看到价格下跌过程的放量。第二、推动价格下跌的需求仍然存在，但在这个价格位置出现了做多的价格需求，二者在此相互冲击，没有出现明确方向之前，价格也会处于相对静止的状态。从成交量观察，就会看到相对更多的成交量出来，且成交量出现绿柱和红柱都属于正常。
