The one thing to watch this week
The economic data. This week is all about the data coming out, especially that from the US, China & Japan.
For a year now investors have been reading about an imminent recession. A recession that still hasn’t arrived. Last week equity markets closed the first half of 2023 with impressive gains despite fears of a hard landing.
Why? Central Banks have been raising rates. The RBA may hike again this week, although the consensus says they pause & talk tough instead
