As routers reported, the Dow Jones Index on the New York Stock Exchange slumped 526.47 points, the S&P 500 index fell 83.10 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index 304.73 points. A report released by the US workforce on Thursday showed inflation hit 7.5% last month, beating economists' estimates of 7.3%. Responding to US inflation data, Federal Reserve President St. Louis James Bullard stated that he wants interest rates to increase 1% through July 2022.
