周三的 ADP 报告显示，由于酒店业招聘激增，10 月份私人就业机会增加。公司当月增加 571,000 家，超过道琼斯预期的 395,000 家，略高于 9 月份向下修正的 523,000 家。这是自 6 月以来就业最好的月份。
ADP首席分析师Nela Richardson指出，上月就业市场显示出新的动能，较第三季平均每月新增38.5万个就业岗位大幅上升，今年新增就业岗位近500万个。服务业带动了增长，而商品行业的增长是广泛的，数据为今年最强劲的纪录。10月份大公司推动了强劲的复苏，标志着连续第二个月令人印象深刻的增长。
穆迪首席经济学家詹迪评美国ADP就业报告指出，随着德尔塔变种毒株导致的疫情逐渐减弱，就业市场正在复苏。所有行业的就业增长都在加速，尤其是大公司。只要疫情得到控制，未来几个月可能会出现更多的就业机会大幅增加。
对于美国的劳动力市场，有分析师指出美国的劳动力短缺正变得越来越严重，这是一个被低估的风险，预计这一问题将持续到2022年，劳动力短缺也将影响公司的销售和利润率。
