澳洲8月企业现况指标大幅下降，信心依然脆弱；
① 一项衡量澳洲企业现况的指标8月大幅下滑，反映就业、销售和获利能力疲弱，因维多利亚州再度实施防疫封锁；企业信心指标虽然上升，但依旧相当脆弱 ；8月澳洲国民银行企业现况指数从7月的零下降6点至负6；这个数值仍高于疫情高峰时在4月触及的低点负34，不过距离长期均值正6仍有段距离；
② 衡量企业信心的指标上升，但仍停留在负值区域，该指标从7月的负14升至负8；销售指标从正1降至负2，盈利指标从正1降至负3，就业指标从7月的负2骤降至负13；除新南威尔士州外，各州企业状况全面下降；围绕新冠病毒和全球经济的不确定性仍很高，澳洲经济重新开放的路径也是如此；
③ 疫情给澳洲两个最赚钱的行业--旅游业和教育业带来冲击，澳洲经济创1930年代大萧条以来最严重的滑坡；为此澳洲联储已经降息至纪录低点0.25%，并启动购债操作以压低收益率，政府也已承诺逾3000亿澳元财政刺激
