Thailand will submit its 2027 fiscal budget to the cabinet on November 25, according to Reuters. For 2026, the government has set a budgetary plan of THB 3.78 trillion, with a projected deficit of around THB 860 billion. Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas stated, “The budget deficit in 2027 will be significantly lower than that of 2026,” and emphasized that by 2029, it will be capped at no more than 3% of GDP. He also noted plans to boost government revenue while keeping public debt below 70% of GDP, signaling a commitment to fiscal discipline and long-term economic stability.
