Investing - Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Transmissora Alianca de Energia Eletrica SA Unit, which rose 5.40% or 2.29 points to trade at 44.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional added 4.93% or 0.41 points to end at 8.72 and B3 SA Brasil Bolsa Balcao was up 4.73% or 0.64 points to 14.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cvc Brasil ON, which fell 7.84% or 0.16 points to trade at 1.88 at the close. Petroreconcavo SA declined 4.83% or 0.58 points to end at 11.43 and Cosan SA Industria e Comercio was down 4.19% or 0.28 points to 6.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 511 to 416 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroreconcavo SA fell to all time lows; falling 4.83% or 0.58 to 11.43.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.11% to 28.39.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.06% or 85.00 to $4,201.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.21% or 2.57 to hit $58.47 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 4.98% or 21.05 to trade at $401.65.
USD/BRL was up 0.40% to 5.29, while EUR/BRL rose 0.43% to 6.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 99.38. (AI)
