In China, the Shangai Composite Index gained 22 points or 0.56 percent on Monday.
Gains were led by China Coal (5.89%), Inner Mongolia BaoTou Steel (5.12%) and Shaanxi Coal (4.58%).
Biggest losers were China Molybdenum (-4.52%), SAIC Motor (-2.59%) and China Life Insurance (-2.32%).
