Brazil Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; Bovespa Up 0.10%

Investing - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumption, Real Estate and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.10% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Hypera SA, which rose 4.95% or 1.21 points to trade at 25.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambev SA added 4.66% or 0.56 points to end at 12.59 and MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA was up 4.22% or 0.30 points to 7.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bradesco SA Pref, which fell 3.88% or 0.73 points to trade at 18.10 at the close. Banco Bradesco SA declined 3.56% or 0.57 points to end at 15.43 and Braskem SA was down 2.86% or 0.20 points to 6.79.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 515 to 421 and 62 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 1.30% to 26.44.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.80% or 32.00 to $4,032.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.35% or 0.21 to hit $60.27 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.41% or 1.60 to trade at $392.30 .
USD/BRL was up 0.40% to 5.38, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.06% to 6.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 99.33. (AI)
