Mexico Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Down 1.57%

• Mexico's S&P/BMV IPC fell 1.57% on Wednesday, pressured by losses in Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.

Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 1.57%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV, which rose 5.59% or 0.99 points to trade at 18.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV added 0.52% or 0.10 points to end at 19.34 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 373.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A, which fell 4.18% or 1.62 points to trade at 37.12 at the close. Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV declined 3.43% or 0.45 points to end at 12.66 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple was down 3.40% or 1.57 points to 44.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 131 to 121 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.50% or 19.50 to $3,892.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.95% or 0.59 to hit $61.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $65.46 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.03% to 18.38, while EUR/MXN rose 0.04% to 21.55.
