Industrial production in North Macedonia fell 3.5% year-on-year in August 2025, marking the first decline in six months and reversing a 4.1% gain in the previous month. Output tumbled in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-26.8% vs -7.5% in July) and fell in manufacturing (-1.4% vs 7.0%), while mining and quarrying production rose 7.0% compared with a 10.4% drop a month earlier. For the January–August period, industrial output was 2.2% higher than the same period a year ago.
