Producer prices in Luxembourg fell by 0.8% year-on-year in August 2025, after a 1.3% increase in the prior month. This marked the first period of deflation since last December, due to lower costs for energy (-9%) and intermediate goods (-0.3% vs 1.4%). On the other hand, prices increased for consumer goods (6.9% vs 14.9%) and capital goods (0.1% vs flat reading in July). On a monthly basis, the PPI fell 0.9% in August, after a 0.1% decrease in the previous month.
