Kyrgyzstan GDP Growth Eases Slightly to 11.0% in January–August

Kyrgyzstan’s GDP expanded 11.0% year-on-year in January–August 2025, easing slightly from 11.5% in the January–July period but surpassing the 8.3% growth recorded in the same period last year. Industrial output climbed 11.5% from a year ago, driven by strong gains in pharmaceutical products (+120%), food products (including beverages) and tobacco products (+44.4%), wood and paper products, printing products (+32.9%), rubber, plastic products and building materials (+32.2%), chemical products (+22.8%), textile and clothing production (+7.1%), as well as mineral extraction (+15.5%). Meanwhile, construction surged 34.8%, wholesale and retail trade rose 11.6%, and agriculture increased 2.4%.
