Mexico Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Up 1.76%

Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 1.76% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD, which rose 3.72% or 6.00 points to trade at 167.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. added 3.71% or 4.57 points to end at 127.74 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B was up 3.52% or 16.16 points to 475.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV, which fell 1.51% or 0.70 points to trade at 45.61 at the close. Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV declined 1.46% or 0.82 points to end at 55.48 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit was down 1.26% or 0.13 points to 10.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 151 to 101 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B rose to all time highs; gaining 3.52% or 16.16 to 475.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 8.60 to $3,673.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.21% or 1.41 to hit $62.26 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $66.25 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.15% to 18.47, while EUR/MXN rose 0.17% to 21.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 97.54. (AI)
