The industrial output in Mexico fell by 2.7% from the previous year in July of 2025, the fourth consecutive annual drop to record the eleventh annual contraction in industrial output in the last year. The industrial output contracted sharply for mining activity (-5.8%), manufacturing industries (-1.9%), the generation and distribution of power and other utilities (-3.7%), and construction (-3.5%). From the previous month, industrial output fell by 1.2% on a seasonally adjusted basis, the sharpest drop in four months.
