Russia Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Down 0.80%

Investing - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Mining and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO, which rose 1.84% or 0.14 points to trade at 7.99 at the close. Meanwhile, LUKOIL PJSC added 0.82% or 53.00 points to end at 6,537.50 and PhosAgro PJSC was up 0.49% or 35.00 points to 7,164.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AFK Sistema PJSC , which fell 3.00% or 0.50 points to trade at 16.15 at the close. PIK SHb PJSC declined 2.99% or 19.50 points to end at 632.40 and Novolipetsk Steel was down 2.56% or 3.16 points to 120.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 175 to 65 and 12 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 0.43% to 32.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.05% or 1.95 to $3,680.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.77% or 1.11 to hit $63.74 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $67.60 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 86.08, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 98.83.
