Industrial production in Sweden rose by 3.8% year-on-year in July 2025, slowing from an upwardly revised 13.8% advance in the previous month. This marked the fourth consecutive month of growth in industrial activity but at a softer pace, as output tumbled for manufacturing (-19.2% vs 20.2% in June) and mining and quarrying (-18.7% vs 19.3%). Meanwhile, production continued to decrease but at a softer pace for electricity, gas, steam and hot water plants (-16.1% vs -21.3%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell by 4.7% in July, reversing a downwardly revised 5.2% growth in the previous month.
