Mexico Car Output Shrinks in August

Mexico's car production fell by 0.8% year-on-year to 349,856 units in August 2025, marking its first drop since May, after a 2.4% increase in July. The biggest declines were seen for BMW Group (-72.8% to 2,046), Mazda (-29.3% to 13,320), Mercedes-Benz Group (-17.3% to 5,025), Honda (-11.5% to 12,612) and Volkswagen (-9.1% to 34,438). On the other hand, Audi (+55.2% to 15,461) and General Motors (+6.6% to 67,088) recorded the strongest increases. In the first eight months of 2025, total vehicle output went up 0.5% to 2.67 million units.
