Retail sales in the Czech Republic rose by 2.5% year-on-year in July 2025, slowing from an upwardly revised 4.8% gain in the previous month and below market expectations of 4.3%. Sales activity rose at a slower pace for automotive fuel (8.3% vs 12.3% in June) and non-food products (3.5% vs 5.9%). Meanwhile, sales fell for food, beverages and tobacco (-0.9% vs 0.7%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade rose 0.3% in July, following an upwardly revised 0.4%.
