Armenia Inflation Ticks Up to 3.6%

The annual inflation rate in Armenia rose to 3.6%% in August 2025 from 3.4% in the previous month. The upturn was mainly due to higher prices in food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.9% vs 4.7% in July). At the same time, prices recovered for clothing and footwear (0.1% vs -0.2%). On the other hand, inflation decreased for housing utilities (0.5% vs 0.8%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6.6% vs 6.7%), health (3.7% vs 3.8%), and transport (6.0% vs 7.2%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.2% in August, following a 0.8% fall in the previous month.
