Alphabet shares jumped more than 5% in premarket trading after a federal judge ruled the company can keep its Chrome browser but must end exclusive search deals and share search data—avoiding the harsher outcome of a potential Chrome divestiture. The news lifted the tech sector, while pressure on government bonds eased, also helping to improve investors' mood. On the earnings front, Macy’s EPS results topped forecasts, sending its shares up over 11% in premarket trade. Investors now look ahead to the JOLTS report later today for an early read on labor market conditions, ahead of Friday’s closely watched jobs report.
