Industrial production in Latvia climbed by 9.8% year-on-year in July 2025, accelerating from a 7.2% gain in the previous month. This marked the strongest expansion since May 2021, as output increased at a much faster pace in manufacturing (10.8% vs 7% in June), and the contraction in mining and quarrying moderated (-18.4% vs -21.1%). On the other hand, output growth slowed in electricity and gas supply (12.5% vs 19.2%). On a monthly basis, industrial production rose by 1.5% in July — its highest level since January — compared to a 0.5% increase in the preceding month.
