Industrial production in Georgia surged 9.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2025, accelerating from a 2.4% rise in the previous quarter. This marked the fastest pace of growth since the third quarter of 2024, supported by a rebound in output for manufacturing (7.6% vs -0.2% in Q1) and electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (4.2% vs -4.1%), alongside an increase in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (10.4% vs 6.6%). On the other hand, expansion in mining and quarrying slowed markedly (34.9% vs 48.9%). On a quarterly basis, industrial output jumped 15.7%, rebounding sharply from a 6.5% drop in the first quarter.
