Mexico Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Down 1.24%

• S&P/BMV IPC Falls - The index dropped 1.24% on Monday, pressured by declines in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.
• Controladora Vuela (+1.73%), Megacable (+1.29%), and Televisa (+0.98%) led gains, while Industrias Peoles (-6.35%), Walmart de Mxico (-2.80%), and Grupo Aeroportuario del CentroNorte (-2.11%) were the biggest losers.
• Declining stocks outnumbered advancers 137 to 82, with 15 stocks unchanged.

Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV, which rose 1.73% or 0.19 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. added 1.29% or 0.68 points to end at 53.59 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit was up 0.98% or 0.09 points to 9.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV, which fell 6.35% or 36.08 points to trade at 531.90 at the close. Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV declined 2.80% or 1.61 points to end at 55.91 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte was down 2.11% or 5.25 points to 243.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 137 to 82 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 7.90 to $3,410.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.73% or 1.10 to hit $64.76 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $68.14 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 18.67, while EUR/MXN rose 0.08% to 21.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.76% at 98.35. (AI)
