Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV, which rose 2.10% or 1.18 points to trade at 57.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV added 2.05% or 3.42 points to end at 170.24 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A was up 2.04% or 0.73 points to 36.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV, which fell 2.22% or 0.96 points to trade at 42.22 at the close. Becle SA declined 2.04% or 0.45 points to end at 21.60 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple was down 1.61% or 0.69 points to 42.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 121 to 107 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.56% or 19.05 to $3,358.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.15% or 0.72 to hit $61.98 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $65.96 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.06% to 18.81, while EUR/MXN rose 0.08% to 21.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 98.14. (AI)
