(MT Newswires) -- Chinese shares closed flat in negative territory as the central bank is expected to keep key rates unchanged this week.
The Shanghai Composite Index marginally slipped to close Tuesday's trade at 3,727.29. The Shenzhen Component Index likewise moderately fell to 11,821.63.
The People's Bank of China is expected to retain benchmark lending rates steady despite weak economic data, emphasizing bigger emphasis on structural policies instead of broad-based monetary easing, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing analysts.
In corporate news, Anhui XDLK Microsystem slumped 8.5% despite its first-half attributable profit surging 173% year on year to 154.3 million yuan and operating revenue jumping 84% to 253.1 million yuan.
Suzhou Novosense Microelectronics fell 3.3% after its first-half attributable loss narrowed year on year to 78 million yuan and operating revenue jumped 79% to 1.52 billion yuan.
Jiangxi Jovo Energydeclined 4.3% after its attributable profit fell 22% to 860.7 million yuan and operating income decreased 7.5% to 10.4 billion yuan.
