Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV, which rose 4.38% or 0.48 points to trade at 11.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV added 2.23% or 3.46 points to end at 158.50 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit was up 1.97% or 0.18 points to 9.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV, which fell 1.90% or 0.94 points to trade at 48.54 at the close. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. declined 1.70% or 2.22 points to end at 128.59 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV was down 1.45% or 2.45 points to 167.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 128 to 99 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 4.55 to $3,378.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.97% or 0.60 to hit $62.58 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $66.47 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.03% to 18.77, while EUR/MXN fell 0.04% to 21.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 98.01.
