Russia Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Down 0.12%

Investing - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Power and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Surgutneftegas PJSC , which rose 3.48% or 0.81 points to trade at 23.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Polyus PJSC added 0.98% or 20.40 points to end at 2,097.40 and Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC was unchanged 0.57% or 0.00 points to 0.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rostelekom PJSC , which fell 3.82% or 2.77 points to trade at 69.65 at the close. AK ALROSA PJSC declined 2.54% or 1.26 points to end at 48.27 and Unipro PJSC was down 2.41% or 0.04 points to 1.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 157 to 78 and 15 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 1.36% to 37.94.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 7.95 to $3,406.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.70% or 0.44 to hit $62.73 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $65.76 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 79.43, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 93.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 97.63.
