Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit, which rose 2.32% or 0.20 points to trade at 8.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. added 1.93% or 1.05 points to end at 55.59 and Becle SA was up 1.91% or 0.44 points to 23.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV, which fell 3.81% or 22.32 points to trade at 563.78 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV declined 3.10% or 0.72 points to end at 22.48 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte was down 1.89% or 4.70 points to 244.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 167 to 89 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 7.95 to $3,406.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.70% or 0.44 to hit $62.73 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $65.77 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.04% to 18.63, while EUR/MXN rose 0.05% to 21.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 97.63.
