Japan's Tokyo CPI inflation eases to 2.9% YoY in July

The headline Tokyo Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July rose 2.9% YoY as compared to 3.1% in the previous month, the Statistics Bureau of Japan showed on Friday.

Additionally, Tokyo CPI ex Fresh Food climbed 2.9% YoY in July against 3.0% expected and down from 3.1% in the prior month. The Tokyo CPI ex Fresh Food, Energy rose 2.9% YoY in July, compared to the previous reading of 3.1%.
