Pasca Pernyataan The Fed, Emas Melonjak Di Atas 1950
Harga emas naik ke atas level $1950 per troy ons pasca Federal Reserve memperlambat laju kenaikan suku bunganya menjadi 25 basis poin. Selain itu, Ketua The Fed Jerome Powell mengatakan bahwa "proses disinflasi telah dimulai".
Powell menambahkan bahwa The Fed kemungkinan akan mempertahankan tingkat suku bunga di bawah level 5% dan dapat menurunkan tingkat inflasi menjadi 2% tanpa merusak ekonomi secara signifikan.
Meskipun pernyataan Powell memicu spekulasi bahwa siklus pengetatan kebijakan moneter akan segera berakhir, namun The Fed tetap mengindikasikan akan menaikkan suku bunganya lebih lanjut.
