Limassol, 20th of August 2022; Tickmill is always looking for ways to invest in education, to engage with young, talented individuals and offer them the opportunity to acquire first-hand experience in a multi-regulatedenvironment.

Tickmill’s Quantitative Research Team is collaborating with the University of Cyprus,as part of the Capstone Project,by offeringthree postgraduate studentswho are currently doing their Master’s degree in Data Science,the unique chance to puttheir knowledge into practice and delve into the world of trading and global financial markets.

Three students took up the challenge with Tickmill’s Quantitative Research team.
Their tasks involve data mining, data storage and data analysis of a specific QA project assigned to them.The project started running mid-July and is expected to end in August, a total duration of10 to 12 weeks. Upon completion, the students will prepare a progress report and present the results in their thesis.

Tickmill’s Head of Quantitative Research, Chariton Christou stated: “This is the first time that Tickmill takes part in the Capstone Project, along with other local prestigious companies. We aim to extend this collaboration in the future and for Capstone to become an annual project where students will gain valuable experience and knowledge that will assist them in their future endeavors”.

The Capstone Project is just one of the many ways that Tickmill is contributing to education both locally and globally. Tickmill has previously supported the UCY community, by awarding 10,000to three winners of a competition that was organized by the University of Cyprus.

It also offers an excellent internship program to young scientists who wish to enter the labor force with a leading broker.
