KONTAN.CO.ID-JAKARTA. Bank Indonesia (BI) dan The People's Bank of China (PBoC) memperbarui perjanjian swap bilateral dalam mata uang lokal alias Bilateral Currency Swap Arrangement (BCSA). Perjanjian baru ini, berlaku efektif sejak 21 Januari 2022.
Direktur Eksekutif, Kepala Departemen Komunikasi BI Erwin Haryono mengatakan, perjanjian BCSA tersebut memungkinkan dilakukannya pertukaran dalam mata uang lokal masing-masing negara hingga CNY 250 miliar. Angka itu, setara Rp 550 triliun atau ekuivalen sekitar US$ 38,8 miliar.
