The Bank of England has published UK mortgage approvals data for August at 4:30 am ET Tuesday. The pound changed little against its major counterparts after the data.
The pound was trading at 136.02 against the yen, 1.1892 against the franc, 0.9073 against the euro and 1.2873 against the greenback around 4:35 am ET.
