为了降低新冠肺炎蔓延对外汇市场的影响，韩国央行和韩国财政部今日发布了一份联合声明，声明表示韩国将放宽外汇管制，鼓励银行在国内市场供应更多美元。
具体放宽规定是：从2020年3月19日起，韩国本地银行获准持有的外汇远期头寸上限将从当前股本的40%提高至股本的50%。对于外资银行，这一上限已从当前的200%提高至250%。
韩国财政部表示，随着新冠肺炎对经济影响的加深，很多交易员都涌向美元，使美元出现了流动性危机。此次放宽外汇管制旨在帮助解决韩国衍生品市场美元流动性不足的问题。
此外，韩国财政部长洪南基在声明中讲到，财政部将部署一只基金来稳定债券市场的波动，安抚投资者情绪，防止外汇市场的恐慌蔓延至其它金融市场。另一方面，为了降低疫情对企业的影响，政府还将推出更全面的金融支持计划。
