美联储乔治：美国经济健康 暂时保持利率不变是合适的
美联储最鹰派的决策者之一，堪萨斯城联邦储备银行总裁乔治周二表示，鉴于美国经济整体健康，美联储暂时保持利率不变是合适的。
“随着经济增长潜力达到或超过潜力，强劲的劳动力市场以及较低且稳定的通胀，决策者将需要时间来判断政策的正确立场。”她补充表示：“在我看来，暂时维持利率不变是适当的，因为我们评估了经济对去年降息的反应并监测了新收入的数据。”
去年，美联储三度降低了利率，以抵御全球增长放缓和美国贸易政策的不确定性所带来的不利影响。乔治反对了此前的三次降息，认为经济仍然与美国的经济增长，失业和通货膨胀以及一切都符合她的前景。
乔治预计经济继续增长，下行风险仍会存在，并预计美国GDP增速将向着长期趋势的1.75%-2%区间放缓。她认为失业率将维持在3.5%附近，通胀温和。因美联储轮换制度，乔治今年没有投票权。
