Rupiah dibuka pada level Rp16.638 per dolar AS di pasar spot Kamis (4/12), turun 10 poin atau 0,06%.
Mata uang Asia bervariasi: peso Filipina naik 0,30%, yen Jepang turun 0,03%, won Korea Selatan minus 0,29%, dan baht Thailand turun 0,08%. Sementara mata uang utama negara maju sebagian besar melemah, dengan euro turun 0,09% dan dolar Australia naik tipis 0,09%.
Analis Doo Financial Futures menyebut rupiah berpotensi menguat karena dolar AS masih tertekan menyusul data tenaga kerja AS yang lemah, dengan ekonomi kehilangan 32 ribu pekerjaan bulan lalu.
Rupiah hari ini diperkirakan bergerak di kisaran Rp16.550 - Rp16.650 per dolar AS.
