浦华证券因涉嫌洗钱2.29亿美元，将被ASIC清算
澳大利亚证券和投资委员会(ASIC)已对零售场外衍生品发行商Prospero Markets Pty Ltd (浦华证券，下文简称：Prospero) 采取法律行动，原因是其涉嫌参与洗钱活动。Prospero清算法庭听证会定于 2024 年 3 月举行。
Prospero因向零售和批发客户提供衍生品和外汇合约，被指控违反《公司法》规定的澳大利亚金融服务 (AFS) 许可证条件和义务。
在ASIC向联邦法院提出申请之前，澳大利亚联邦警察 (AFP) 已对长江货币兑换汇款链进行了调查，调查显示该汇款链涉嫌为犯罪集团洗钱数百万美元。
据悉，该次澳大利亚联邦警察的行动代号为Avarus-Nightwolf，此次行动于2023年10月以涉嫌参与非法诉讼为名逮捕了几名Prospero前官员和负责人员。据称，长江货币交易所由长河洗钱集团秘密经营。过去三年，该公司共为犯罪活动洗钱近2.29亿美元。
由于Prospero未能提交2023年财务审计账目， ASIC已于去年12月暂停了Prospero的AFS许可证。
ASIC目前对Prospero持有的大量客户资金返还感到担忧，它认为任命清算人是确保资金有效返还的最佳方式，并已提名BRI Ferrier 的Andrew Cummins、Jonathon Keenan 和Peter Krejci作为Prospero的联合清算人。
