商纣王继位后，命人打造了一双象牙筷子使用。大臣箕子慌张地说：“大事不好。”其他臣子说：“你疯了？大王只是打造双象牙筷子而已，怎么就大事不好？”
箕子说：“象牙筷子一定要配犀角之碗、白玉之杯。白玉杯肯定要与山珍海味相配。吃了山珍海味就不会再穿粗葛短衣，住茅草陋屋，而要衣锦绣，乘华车，住高楼。倘若国内满足不了他的需求，就要到境外去搜求奇珍异宝。到时天下肯定大乱。”
大家都认为箕子神经病，但箕子却认为这些人是神经病，所以提前跑了。后来，商纣王穷奢极欲，引起天下诸侯的造反，许多大臣都死掉，只有箕子安然无恙。
重仓，就是欲望的闸门，一旦尝试了重仓，还品尝到了甜头，那么离毁灭也就不远了。
