7月19日消息，两位知情人士表示，欧洲央行决策者将在周四的会议上讨论是否加息25或50个基点，以抑制创纪录高位的通胀。消息人士称，决策者还在寻求达成一项协议，为意大利等负债国家提供债券市场援助，前提是这些国家遵守欧盟执委会关于改革和预算纪律的规定。欧洲央行曾表示，它只会逐步加息，最有可能在7月份加息25个基点，将更大规模的加息推迟到9月份。
