知可以战与不可战者胜，识众寡之用者胜，上下同欲者胜，以虞待不虞者胜，将能而君不御者胜。此五者，知胜之道也。
预见胜利有五个方面：能准确判断仗能打或不能打的，能够取胜；能根据敌我双方兵力多少采取对策的，能够取胜；全国上下，全军上下，意志相一致的，能够取胜；以我军有充分准备来对付敌人毫无准备的，能够取胜；主将精通军事权变，君主又不多加干预的，能够取胜。这就是预见胜利的方法。所以说：了解敌方也了解自己，每一次战斗都不会有危险；不了解对方而只了解自己，胜负的 率只有一半；既不了解对方又不了解自己，每战必败。
简单来说就是知己知彼百战百胜！
