花旗将向UnionBank出售菲律宾消费银行业务
花旗(Citi)周四宣布，将把在菲律宾的消费银行业务出售给UnionBank。花旗正在剥离其在菲律宾的业务。
这笔交易涵盖花旗在当地的信用卡、无担保贷款、存款和投资业务。此外，面向零售客户的保险和投资服务也包含在内。
UnionBank将向花旗支付被收购业务净资产的现金对价，外加约9.08亿美元的溢价。
双方已经就收购达成协议，预计将于2022年下半年完成。此外，花旗强调，选择UnionBank是经过了严格的拍卖程序。
作为交易的一部分，花旗大约1750名消费银行员工将被转移到UnionBank。
花旗剥离菲律宾业务是其退出亚洲、欧洲、中东和非洲13家消费者特许经营机构的总体战略的一部分，这将释放约70亿美元的有形普通股。
本周早些时候，法国巴黎银行宣布将其在美国的零售和商业业务出售给加拿大蒙特利尔银行金融集团(BMO Financial Group)，总价为163亿美元。
