根据报道引述公开资料，金柱，男，蒙古族，1957年12月出生，研究生学历，1985年6月加入中国共产党，1976年8月参加工作。
金柱曾在黑龙江省新巴尔虎左旗阿木古楞宝力格公社插队，在中央民族学院法律专业、内蒙古党校青干班学习；历任赤峰市敖汉旗法院庭长、副院长，赤峰市中级人民法院庭长、副院长、党组成员、院长，内蒙古自治区高级人民法院党组成员、副院长，内蒙古自治区政府参事；2021年3月退休。
