The DXY rallied to get above 90 during Friday’s session with key points to note being the PMI data listed below. Supply constraints are still the over whelming theme along with labor shortages as vaccinations are rolled out throughout the US. In the short term it appears the Fed are happy with the current degree of assets purchasing although this will be reviewed as mentioned last week by the FOMC committee members with a hint of sooner than expected as a possibility for the easing of QE. FOMC committee member Brainard will be speaking later at 2100 (GMT+8). Also, committee member Bostic will be speaking tomorrow at 0000 (GMT+8).
- Flash Manufacturing PMI (Actual: 61.5, Forecast: 60.0, Previous: 60.5 revised from 60.6)
- Flash Services PMI (Actual: 70.1, Forecast: 64.3, Previous: 64.7 revised from 63.1)
