Indeks Volatilitas CBOE Eurocurency Turun Ke Level Sebelum Pandemi
Menurut sumber data Factset, Indeks Volatilitas Cboe EuroCurrency, yang mengukur ekspektasi pasar terhadap volatilitas 30 hari dari nilai tukar EUR/USD, telah turun menjadi 6,6 – terendah sejak akhir Februari 2020.
Pasar FX telah sepi meskipun pasar ekuitas dan komoditas tetap tidak stabil.
Namun, volatilitas adalah pembalikkan rata-rata – periode tenang atau permainan dalam kisaran yang berkepanjangan sering kali membuka jalan bagi pergerakan besar di kedua arah. Selain itu, indeks volatilitas EuroCurrency masih jauh di atas posisi terendah yang terlihat di awal tahun lalu.
Indeks volatilitas EuroCurrency berada di titik terendah dalam satu dekade di 4,98 pada 31 Januari 2020 dan melonjak ke tertinggi multi-tahun di 9,03 pada bulan April karena krisis virusc orona menimbulkan banyak ketidakpastian.
EUR/USD saat ini diperdagangkan di dekat 1,2140, setelah memantul dari 1,1952 ke 1,2149 dalam lima hari perdagangan hingga 11 Februari.
