Premi risiko Italia, atau selisih antara imbal hasil obligasi 10-tahun pemerintah Italia dan Jerman, melonjak ke level tertinggi dua bulan pada hari Jumat karena fokus beralih pada ketidakpastian politik Italia.
Menurut Reuters, partai-partai penguasa utama Italia pada hari Jumat mengutip pemilihan umum sebagai satu-satunya jalan keluar dari kebuntuan politik yang disebabkan oleh kegagalan Perdana Menteri Giuseppe Conte untuk mendapatkan mayoritas parlemen setelah melakukan mosi percaya.
Kenaikan lanjutan dalam premi risiko Italia mungkin berpengaruh pada mata uang tunggal. EUR/USD saat ini diperdagangkan dekat 1,2173, setelah mencapai tertinggi 1,2190 pada hari Jumat.
