“饕餮”本是传说中的一种贪食性动物，汉语中暗指“贪得无厌者”，在黄金外汇市场中指交易者对交易系统的过度“修饰”，即试图通过不断地叠加技术指标而提高交易胜率。
任何交易者必定都有自己的交易系统，既然是交易系统，其必定涉及如K线、均线、MACD、KD等技术工具或指标。掌握并使用经典的技术指标对提高交易胜算确有好处，但如果交易者一方面对交易指标的使用方法仅停留于最初级阶段，另一方面又走向极端，在交易系统中罗列过多的指标，希望在各种指标同时发出交易信号时进行交易，从而提高交易胜算。这种方式对交易没有任何好处，甚至这种方式让交易者根本无法进行交易，因为指标越多就越难达到共振。
实际上，黄金外汇市场没有百战百胜的“圣杯”，请参考“技术分析五大利器”，能够融会贯通地使用这五种技术工具或方法，交易者就能够做到长期稳定盈利并充分享受交易的乐趣。
