顺势加仓亦如固定加仓原则，也是先顾及风险控制最小化原则，再视盘势趋势择最佳进场点或时机加仓的方式，因此每单的手数是固定的。（但倒金字塔或反马丁格尔策略则是优先注重获利，趋势越往后走，加码单的手数则是跟着加倍，因此风险也被放大，因此除非非常有把握，否则反马丁格尔也会因为重仓风险而导致获利大肆衰减。）
简单来说就是交易中常见到的「追涨杀跌」，重要的原则是第一单未获利前千万不要加仓。这是短线操作强势走势品种的手法，分批进场，如继续走强，就继续加仓。这样做的是因为看好品种趋势。
